Near the railway open-air museum, there are the medieval Ruins of the Bloody Venetian Devil’s Castle. It is one of the first private defensive castles in Poland. According to local legends, cannons were “tested” here before the Battle of Grunwald. The castle owes its name to the stern judge of Kalisz, Mikołaj Nałęcz.
